SecondFamily
Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 September 2026
The service
SecondFamily provides non-medical companionship and logistical assistance for scheduled hospital, clinic, diagnostic and related visits. We are not a medical provider, nursing service, ambulance, home healthcare company or emergency service.
Bookings and availability
A submitted request is not a confirmed booking. We will contact you to confirm service-area coverage, companion availability, visit details and payment before the service is accepted.
Family responsibilities
The family must provide accurate visit information, reachable emergency contacts and any authorisations required by the hospital. Treatment and medical decisions remain with the loved one, family and qualified medical professionals.
Costs
The selected visit fee covers the stated duration. Additional time is charged at the displayed hourly rate. Transport, hospital fees, medicines and other third-party costs are separate and require family approval where practicable.
Safety and money
Companions cannot handle ATM or UPI PINs, passwords or OTPs. They do not provide medical advice, administer medication or sign medical or legal documents without proper authority.
Emergencies
SecondFamily is not an emergency service. If urgent medical help is needed, contact local emergency services or the relevant hospital immediately.
Changes and cancellations
Appointment delays and hospital processes may affect visit duration. Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be shared before a booking is confirmed.
Launch availability
The service is currently launching in select areas. We may decline or reschedule a request when a safe and suitable companion is not available.
